Hidden Heroes: Covington's Water/Sewer Team Making Waves for Our Community

I want to take a moment to shower some well-deserved appreciation on the incredible members of our very own City of Covington water/sewer team. 🙌🏽✨

These individuals are the unsung heroes working tirelessly, using their unique talents and gifts to carry out vital work in our water treatment facilities and the complex underground infrastructure that keeps our city running smoothly.

Thanks to their work, we can turn on our faucets with confidence, knowing that the water flowing out has undergone rigorous testing and meets the highest quality standards. It's a simple act, yet one that has profound ripple effects that stretch far and wide.

Beneath our feet lies an intricate network of over 140 miles of pipes, silently serving more than 9,250 of our fellow Covington residents and supporting over 1,300 local businesses every single day, around the clock, 365 days a year. It's a monumental task, and these heroes make it look easy.

You see, the water/sewer team isn't just about providing us with clean, safe water. They're playing a pivotal role in shaping a healthier and more sustainable future for each and every one of us.

Their work often goes unnoticed, but the impact it has on our health, our wellbeing, and the overall vitality of our community is simply immeasurable.

So, to the incredible members of the water/sewer team, I want you to know that your efforts are not just seen; they're deeply valued and cherished. Keep up the fantastic work, and may you continue to make a lasting, positive impact on our beloved community.

And a special shoutout to Mr. Kevin Sorrow and Mr. Robert Barber, who have dedicated an incredible 25+ years to this essential work – your commitment is truly awe-inspiring!
