Anyone Can Vote By Absentee Ballot
In Georgia, you can cast an absentee ballot for any election, even if you won’t be absent from Newton county on Election Day. You can request it online or by mail, and when it comes, return it by mail or in a drop box.

Is there a minimum or maximum donation amount?Yes. For local elections in Georgia, the maximum donation amount is $3,300.00 per individual donor for primary and general elections. O.C.G.A. § 21-5-41(b)

When is the last day to donate?We encourage people donate any time. Donations will be accepted. The Covington General Municipal Election will be held on November 7th, 2021.

Can I donate by check?Yes. Please put your employer, occupation and phone number in the memo line. You can mail the check and make it out to: Dania Bernard PO Box 2267 Covington, GA 30015

Why does writing a check require contact and employer information?To accurately track where money is coming from. This is a standard federal, state and local requirement for all campaign donations.

Are donations to the City Council campaign tax deductible?No. Donations to the 2023 Covington General Municipal Election are NOT tax deductible

Can I donate as a business as well as an individual?Yes. We love local business and businesses able to donate a separate entities.
Absentee ballots must be postmarked by Election Day!
The Registrar's Office must receive your ballot before the polls close on Election Day to be counted. If you registered as a disabled voter, someone in your household can hand-deliver your absentee ballot for you. If you're currently a military or overseas voter and you post your absentee ballot on Election Day, make sure it arrives within 3 days.

You can also return your absentee ballot to your poll site, or a certified ballot dropbox located in the front office of the Board of Elections Office 1113 Usher St, Ste 103 Covington, GA 30015.

Election Day
On Election Day, polling locations will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., providing voters with the opportunity to cast their ballots. To ensure a smooth voting process, you’ll need a government-issued photo ID to verify your identity.
